梦着小时候的日子

透过被飞雪映得发亮的窗子

使我久久不能入睡

Dreaming of youth

The somewhat distressed humming

May no longer be there
. M/ S! ]& b8 y! Y _8 \ With pinks growing slowly on the windowsill) ]! F, u( y$ ~# I% `
Late winter snows float down twilight by twilight
( e2 u; Z7 G" x0 l- r- _7 h To be heard in the solitude against the glass8 R/ ^, [( M1 v0 r' R4 ~
And through the window illuminated by snowflakes
1 o1 z Y6 r: u, ] The old tree's crotches seem swarthier8 z9 Z/ }$ p) Z) {, o9 k
And the sound of melting snow falling from the eaves" B% d- ]* R2 W% e7 w5 \
Keeps me long from sleep
$ b. f6 [' b1 Z. f& D5 ]3 n And in my youth! ^- \) C m& p9 v
I did not sleep till Mother' C/ w' Y. T* ]! V/ m
Having slaved daylong
, c7 R( N K% \ From one room to the next
& C, z/ g: w. ?1 e) C0 T, { Tucked in my coverlet
5 H8 U( }* i' ~7 d So the snowflakes gradually tuck in memory of the past

Twigs fall
4 Q& Z. V! u6 [3 `# u7 G1 H And the kettle singing' y! e- |/ H# a
On the warm fire
