(1) When something had already happened at a time in the past, we use "Past Perfect Tense".
當一個動作是在過去某個時間已經發生的話，我們會用「過去完成式」。

Yesterday at 3:30 pm: We went into the hospital and visited our grandma.

From the above examples, you can see we often use Past Tense with Past Perfect Tense.

( }5 \) I0 b. @3 bWe always use "had" for all subjects (i.e. I, We, You, They, He, She, It).

Note 2: What is the "past participle" of a verb? For most of the verbs, you just have to add "ed" at the end to change it into "past participle". For the others (i.e. irregular verbs), you may look up in your dictionary or check it out in this link.
